Bio: Angela Burns is a young traveling actress, casting director, and acting coach from the heart of Texas. As a free-spirited, upbeat girl from Austin, she is always on the go and eager for her next project. The combination of her love for the craft of acting, her determination to prepare, persist, and seek opportunity, and the encouragement of family, friends, and casting directors ensure the continuation of her livelihood.Although acting is her number one objective and passion, Angela has worked behind the scenes on numerous projects. What started only as a quest to see filmmaking from a different perspective to aid in her acting endeavors soon became a technical skill that Angela began to hone and explore. At age 15, she wrote, cast, produced, directed and edited her first short film, "Betta", with her partner in crime, Natalia Bogner. Since then, she has worked as a casting director for the "Daddy I Miss You" music video, held acting classes for aspiring teens, and worked behind the scenes on various projects.She is currently (7-23-10) the casting director of a new teen dark-comedy, "blacktino", written and directed by SXSW's Aaron Burns and produced by Spy Kids and Sin City's Elizabeth Avellan. In addition, she now provides videographer services to actors needing an inexpensive, professional audition video.Angela plans to remain active in the Austin film community predominately as an actress while also venturing abroad in California and Louisiana.
