Bio: Cal Giardina is an Australian actor who has been directed by Kiefer Sutherland and Jean-Claude Van Damme. His first acting role was playing a reporter on the hit television series "Mission: Impossible" (1988).Giardina grew up in the country town of Traralgon in Victoria, Australia and is of Italian descent. At age 9, he spent a year in America and attended school in Connecticut. At age 12, he produced a short film about the Kelly Gang for a school project. It was while playing the role of Ned Kelly that he wanted to become an actor. In 1996, he worked at Warner Bros. Movie World and went on to host a variety of events around Australia including the Miss Hawaiian Tropic Australia Pageant.Giardina guest-starred on many Australian television series including, "Neighbours" (1985) , "Blue Heelers" (1994) and "Stingers" (1998). His first feature film was a role in the controversial Metal Skin (1994) directed by Geoffrey Wright. He studied acting under coaches John Orcsik, Ken James and Kim Krejus.In 2007 Giardina moved to Los Angeles and studied with acting coach Steve Cardwell, trained at Ivana Chubbuck Studio and on-camera techniques with LA based director Adrian Carr.2008 was a turning point in his career when he was cast in The Eagle Path (2010) starring and directed by Jean-Claude Van Damme.
