Birthname: Halil Ozsan
Bio: Actor and musician, Hal (Halil) Ozsan was Born in Northern Cyprus in 1976 and was raised in Havering, a working class East London suburb. At 11, he gained entrance to the prestigious Brentwood School, Essex. While there he won the Mayor of Essex's award for a play he co-wrote and co-starred in, and received a school distinction tie for Drama.Moving to Los Angeles in the late 90's he began working immediately in films and television . After guest starring in dozens of episodic Ozsan first gained major recognition for a recurring role as Todd Carr (the temperamental film director who hires Dawson) on the final two seasons (2001-2003) of "Dawson's Creek" (1998) Following "The Creek", Ozsan appeared regularly as the playboy fallen angel, Azazel in ABCF's Fallen (2007), and as Cassidy, the double-dealing long lost brother of Kyle Traeger in the final season of Kyle Xy (2009). Other notable television performances include a leading role as Joey DiMarco in CBS' critically acclaimed television movie remake of Helter Skelter (2004) (TV).Ozsan's first film appearance came playing opposite Al Pacino in a supporting role in S1m0ne (2002). Many independent film roles were soon to follow.Between 2006-2008, Ozsan took a virtual hiatus from acting to serve, full-time, as singer-songwriter for LA based Rock 'n' Roll band, Poets and Pornstars. After selling out venues on LA's Sunset Strip, the band secured a record deal which lead to national radio airplay, prestigious opening slots (Bon Jovi; the re-formed Alice in Chains) and a national tour in support of 80s hard rock stalwarts, Tesla. Songs written by Ozsan can still be heard in feature films and television shows, most recently in Season 6 of SYTYCD.In 2008, Ozsan left the band to return to acting full time and secured recurring roles on Showtime's Californication (2008) (TV)_ and ABCF's Kyle XYHe currently lives in Hollywood, California.
