Bio: Janna Fassaert was born in Naarden, The Netherlands on January 28th, 1981. When she was 8 years old she moved to South Africa, together with her parents, older brother, director Tom Fassaert and younger sister, actress Noortje Fassaert. Janna lived there until she turned 14, then she and her family moved back to The Netherlands. She was trained at the prestigious Dutch Theatre School in Maastricht for four years and was invited in 2007 by famous acting coach Ivana Chubbuck to come to Los Angeles to participate in her masterclass. Janna has also studied with Joyce Hiller Piven, Jeremy Piven's mother. Her international break came when she got a cast in the feature Couples Retreat (2009), directed by Peter Billingsley. She plays the role of masseuse Gert in a couple of hilarious scenes with Jon Favreau. Couples Retreat (2009) premiered in the Mann Village Theatre in Los Angeles October 5th, 2009. In the summer of 2009 Janna landed herself the lead of marine biologist Skylar Shane in the new international action-packed adventure film Amphibious 3D (2010) from director Brian Yuzna.
