High school senior Jamal faces life, love, and the struggle to succeed as a young black man growing up in the projects of Atlanta. A shinning star amongst his peers in high school and the oldest of three, he serves as a mentor to his younger brother Zarad and his sneaky sister Ameya. Coming from a strong blue collar working household he knows how to work hard to get what he wants out of life, but his resolve is tested when he has to deal with the jealousy of Brayden, a troubled teen headed for a life of crime. With the help of his best friend Alex and beautiful girlfriend, Nicole, Jamal overcomes obstacles and tries to prepare for life. Will Jamal end up as another statistic from a ghetto in the A, or will he surpass his expectations and make history?
